Boso/Shakotan/Zokusha Style FTW.
Since the Hako is loved by "
everyone"
, thought I'd share.
RESPECT HARDWORK/DEDICATION. NOT THE CAR ITSELF

How can someone not like this?

A lot of people just don't. Especially here. I've posted a few Shakotan lifestyle cars and everyone always flames on how it looks, how it wont function, how its a joke, blah blah. Whatever happened to respecting this hobby?

That makes no sense. This car is toight as fook

Fuck you to those who don't.

I can accept this as enthusiasm and to those who love it, good for you. But seriously? Whats the point of the cooler outside the bumper?
![]() 02/27/2014 at 11:49 |

I like the car. You may want to consider editing the post because it certainly comes off as intentional trollbait/asshattery, which is a bit on the 'frowned upon' side

Whats the point of hellas on a subaru if you never rally?

Grill for roasting bugs.

Edited. I took off the rant part. Hate discussion in the comments. Thanks!

no space inside the bumper? why does it matter if it in mounted outside the car?

Its origins are in Japanese touring car racing. I'd guess coolers were placed outside because otherwise they would need to cut holes for them.

Personally, I just think it looks tacky.
Disclaimer: This is why I stated earlier that I respect everyone for the enthusiasm they show.

Ha ha best reply yet!

I agree. One of the other things I hate seeing (and for some reason, frequently see here in Alaska) is a WRX slammed to the ground with 19 inch chrome rims. What's the point?
![]() 02/27/2014 at 11:57 |
|
To be slammed on 19" chrome wheels. I'm dropping my forester on 18"s sometime next month, just a personal preference thing. I'll never use it to go exploring the great outdoors so the ground clearance isn't my concern. I just like how it looks.
![]() 02/27/2014 at 11:59 |

And I can respect that. Just said it's not what I enjoy. If you don't mind me asking, where do you live?
![]() 02/27/2014 at 12:01 |

Minnesnowta. Gotta have winter/summer suspension setups. Stock struts and 215/60r16 snow tires from November to April, lowered on 18"s the rest with coils.

Ahh ok. So you're actually able to adjust the height as needed. I only asked because if you had said Arizona or something like that, I could see why you wouldn't care if you had the clearance. Nice though. How's the weather over there?

God awful. Terrible. Wretched. It's -35 with the wind chill and the roads are covered in ice and salt. Needless to say I can't wait for the first 40 degree day when I can ride my R6.

Our weather has been extremely weird this year. It's 33 degrees right now and we're supposed to get a little warmer and have...rain? In Alaska? In Winter? I just don't understand what happened here!

We are getting blasted, the snowbanks in my driveway are 5 feet tall.
![]() 02/27/2014 at 12:23 |
|
The snowbanks we had...and now ice mountains. People haven't been able to really go snowboarding because of the falling straight onto the ice.

God I hate lazy/incorrectly mounted oil coolers. Classic Japanese cars with them are the new fart can Civics.
It's ok like Hako, come over here and let me fix you the right way.
